Relationship with God – Psalm 63:1-8

This verse is a reminder that we should seek God.  The Our Daily Bread reading talks of someone who learnt the truth about Jesus but was “walking side by side” as opposed to “face to face”.  I can remember many times that I have either felt cut off from God because

of my actions and desires, or felt like a distant relation of God where I am on speaking terms as and when it suits.

I have found over the last few months that really seeking the Lord, and making time to read his word and to pray really does help you build an intimate relationship with our personal saviour.  As in verse 1 therefore, earnestly pursue him, drink the living water of his word, and he will set you free, he will wrap his arms around you, enjoy an intimate loving relationship with the father.

Passion for Christ – Revelation 2:1-7

Jesus is praising the church for their great works, however he stresses that they have lost that first passion.

Think back to when you were saved, I remember feeling like I was floating home, and for some time after I wanted

to tell EVERYONE about
Jesus. Remember not to let go of that passion, Jesus died for our sins so we may have life! Thats the most exciting news EVER! Go, make disciples of all nations, don’t loose your passion for the Living Risen God. Amen,

Be Imitators of Christ – John 13:3-15

This is so apt given my current walk with the Lord.

Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. —1 Corinthians 11:1

Jesus Chr ist

is our role model, he is t

he way we should live, we should comport ourselves. There is no better witness than by our actions and the way we live our lives.

Be Reconciled – Matthew 5 21-26

In any conflict or where there is sin that st ands between you

and a brother or sister, or there is something you have done that you need to be reconciled for, God wants to to even interrupt your worship, to get up and go and sort out the conflict or sin, so that you can come back to the Lord and worship him with nothing in the way.

Comfort – 2 Corinthians 1:1-7

Jesus comforts us in times of trouble and affliction so that we can too comfort others in theirs with the comfort we received from the Lord Jesus.

With all the comfort he pours in to our lives, it then over flows

to others.

An example, someone goes through a hard time, their emotional wounds can be used to help heal others that go through the same situation in the future.
